Khan Abdul Majid Khan currently holds the portfolio of AJK's Minister of Finance & IR . He also leads Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir as its Chairman of Board of Directors. He is a seasoned politician with diversified qualities. His face is not new in politics of AJK and he is one of the experienced member of the parliament who is serving the people since long. He got the politics from inheritance. His family has served and contributed a lot for the people of the State.

Contrary to the traditional politicians, he is among the fewer foreign qualified politicians. He got excellent educational achievements and qualifications from abroad and left the luxurious and glamorous life of Europe just to serve the people and community. During his political journey he held many portfolios and proved his expertise in all fields.

Keeping in view of his previous sound track record he was given the portfolio of Minister Finance soon after formation of new Government in AJK. Because of his outstanding performance he is also given the charge of BAJK's Chairman of Board of Directors. His hardworking is quite impressive and is a role model for others. He is successfully using his knowledge and skills to bring positive change in departments under his jurisdiction.

Along with other departments, BAJK is also showing excellent performance under his magical leadership and patronage. He is proceeding forward with a clear and firm vision. He is quite active in Bank's business promotional activities. Because of his keen interest, the days are not far when the Bank will get the status of a scheduled Bank and will expand its network in Pakistan and abroad.

Along with his impressive professional and political background, Abdul Majid khan possesses the best moral values. He is a gentleman with excellent ethics. His friendly and gentle gesture is quite appreciable even for his political rivals.

People of the State are quite optimistic with the personality of Khan Abdul Majid Khan and pray for the continuity of his efforts towards betterment and welfare of the people of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. with same pace and enthusiasm.

مزدوروں کا دن اور تلخ زمینی حقائق (تحریر:عبدالباسط علوی) ہر سال يکم مئ کو يوم مزدور بڑے جوش و خروش سے منايا جاتا ہے -فائيو اسٹار ہوٹلز کے اے سی والے ہالز ميں بيٹھے مقرروں کی لمبی لمبی تقارير سن کر اور سامعين کا انہماک ديکھ کر گمان ہونے لگتا ہے کہ سارے مزدوروں کا درد ان ميں امڈ آيا ہے- خيران سب کے گھروں ميں کام کرنے والے ملازميں تو ان کے حساب سے مزدوروں کے زمرے ميں نہیں آتے قارئين، سچ تو يہ ہے کہ فقط مزدوروں کے نام پر کئ محکمے، ادارے ،ان جی اوز وغيرہ چلتے ہيں-بڑی بڑی تنخواہوں اور لمبی لمبی گاڑيوں والے افسران عياشی کرتے ہيں- صرف يوم مزدور کے نام پر کانفرنسوں اور تشاہير پر لاکھوں روپے خرچ کر ديے جاتے ہيں مگر کتنے افسوس کا مقام ہے کہ حقيقت بلکل برعکس ہے- سرمايا داروں،جاگيرداروں،امراء اور اسٹيٹس کو کے معاشرے ميں مزدور کا استحسال عروج پر ہے- گھروں کی طرف آئيں تو ہم ديکھتے ہيں کہ ملازم کو مالک کے ساتھ بيٹھ کر کھانے کی اجازت نہيں ہوتی- اوراسے مالک والا کھانا اور بھی ںہيں ديا جاتا-مالک منرل يا فلٹر والا پانی پيے مگر ملازم کے لئے عام نلکے والا پانی- ملازم کے تو برتن بھی الگ ہوتے ہ...
